Lazy dogs

Can you see the 3 bridges?

September went by so quickly, we slowly begin to settle in.

We head to the 33rd floor, I love the view, it is astonishing. We began a fun game of scrutiny, how many buildings or bridges can we name. So far just a few buildings, we mainly focused on the bridges! The Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and in the distance the super impressive Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, linking Staten Island to Brooklyn, named after the first European explorer to sail into New York Harbor in 1524, Verrazano.

To our surprise, we discovered the Empire State Building to be much more fun than any other skyscraper we know. It lights up differently depending on the occasion, the tower lights calendar can be found online.

We are still living very light - lighter than usual I should say because we’ve always been really light - our container has now been released from customs and we are waiting to schedule a delivery.

With great difficulty, we finally found a decent online supermarket. The choice of food in supermarkets is simply astonishing, nothing compared to what we have in Europe; the choice of ethnic products is incredible, though it is not in the American culture to do their grocery shopping online so the choice is kind of disappointing from an outsider perspective. We will get there!

Speaking of the American way, New Yorkers are totally crazy about their dogs, I mean crazy. They love dogs and dogs are everywhere. They love them so much that it is very, very common to see lazy dogs. I’ve never seen so many dogs refusing to walk and being picked up by their owner and carried away. It is very fun and it seems to be a common trend so either American dogs are more precious than European ones either it is their owners behaving differently.
